A Word from Our Founder
After working several years in a leadership role with a major consulting firm, I am so proud to run a 7-figure consulting and coaching company.
BUT, my story wasn’t always so great. Success took me years of overcoming a lot of what was holding me back in expressing my confidence, voice, and unique leadership capabilities.
Believe it or not, growing up, I was painfully shy and socially anxious. I was known in school as “the girl who never talks.” I used to hide in the bathroom when I would have to give a presentation. As a result, I even embarassingly got caught and sent to the Principal’s office a few times!
With a lot of deep work on my mindset through studying neuroscience in college, and then actually putting myself in challenging situations, I discovered an inborn capability for communication I never knew I had.
I was shocked when people told me “I’m a natural,” “exceptionally engaging,” and “articulate.” Now when I tell people my stories from childhood, they think I’m lying!
Our Human Potential for Growth and Transformation
Why do I share this? Well, I believe strongly in the deep potential we each have as human beings to overcome all of our obstacles. Yes, I believe we are always in flux – constantly growing and changing. So, we can become anyone we want to be if we put our minds to it.
Since working in the corporate world, I’ve found that communication skills are a HUGE gap that usually goes unaddressed. As a result, leaders and managers are unable to motivate their teams fully or progress to higher levels in their own careers. In other words, they are unable to fulfill their potential.
That’s why I take so much passion in the work I do. As a career and communication coach, I’ve worked with amazingly intelligent, gifted, and insightful leaders who were missing this one skill. They were unable to engage their audiences and persuade on their ideas. As a result, their careers were stunted. I helped these clients completely transform how they present themselves, to have the career and life they deserve. It’ s been such a gift for me to see.
